Never heard of the DARPA challenge?
It’s great. Real cars are given robot drivers, and they race. Winner is covered in artificial, robotic glory. This year one of the leading contenders in the challenge is Axion Racing’s Spirit, pictured above. And the gaming relevance? Why, it’s “eyes” are a PS3. Running Linux, the PS3 is responsible for “realtime stereoscopic sensor data”, reading terrain info sent from cameras attached to the car’s underbelly. No word on whether it’s also responsible for “gathering dust” and/or “firmware updates”, but we’ll keep you posted! You can find out more about DARPA and Axion Racing after the, *ahem*, jump.
“No gamer will have experienced anything like this before, It’s incredible”. Its going to be hugely spectacular.

We take a look at some important issues and games facing zombies today.
Zombies are regularly encountered in horror- and fantasy-themed fiction and entertainment. They are typically depicted as mindless, shambling, decaying corpses with a hunger for human flesh, and in some cases, human brains in particular.
Not long ago, when people thought of zombies, they thought of decomposing corpses shambling across a graveyard under the magical yoke of a higher, eviler being. Perhaps this being was a lich or a sorcerer, or even, we are ashamed to say it, a human.
Zombies were little more than bipedal fodder for heroes of every class and caliber. These heroes would bash, burn, slice, dice, mangle, or obliterate zombies on their way to treasure, victory, and fame. If adventure were karate, zombies were wooden boards, set up to be knocked down, broken in half, and discarded back into the ground from whence they had arisen.
Modern zombie is fast, agile, angry, and fluent in conversational Spanish. He or she can leap tall survivors in a single bound and infiltrate the safest sanctuaries while moaning for brains or cesos, all on the go. Not so fast, though! There’s more between today’s zombies and world domination than loosely boarded shacks or heavily armed agents. Gun proliferation is a serious issue in so-called “unlife,” while language barriers can make international travel awkward and confusing for even the most cosmopolitan corpse. We’ll address those issues and show you what a certain group of zombies is doing to turn the world’s least liked minority into the most feared majority.
This game play might not be anything special, but it delivers more than enough laughs to make it worth a look.
The Simpsons Game nails the show’s trademark humor, in-jokes, and social satire, plus it features impressive cartoony graphics and the real-deal voice actors. This is total fan service, meaning Simpsons fans — and apologists — will be pleased. The standard-issue platforming and beat-em-up gameplay — in co-op or player-swapping form — though, is nothing special. Fortunately, an abundant collection of game parodies pepper the missions and give the game added personality that elevates it over its gameplay misgivings.
The action follows the Simpsons family as they discover they are part of a videogame: Bart stumbles upon the manual of a game set in Springfield and realizes he and the whole Simpson family have special powers. It makes for a very meta experience, happily breaking that fourth wall repeatedly and filled with clever self-references, that honestly makes for a better premise than just shoehorning the characters into some popular-genre knockoff (be it The Simpsons: Hit & Run or The Simpsons Wrestling, among many, many others).
The Simpsons Game from Electronic Arts hasn’t been shy about poking fun at fellow game conventions, and a while ago we reported that Rockstar had its feathers ruffled by the parody. Lead designer Greg Rizzer commented that “if we make fun of Grand Theft Auto, we’re not going to hurt the sales of Grand Theft Auto… But yeah, we’ve definitely had some reactions — we’ve had to pull stuff from the game.”
That’s a spot-on description, as we found this weekend that the trailer previously devoted to the “Grand Theft Scratchy” parody has now been retitled to the infinitely less clever “Mob Rules,” confirming that Grand Theft Auto was one of the casualties caused by lack of a sense of humor. Otherwise, the trailer looks untouched, so it seems that the title was the major problem and not the parody game content itself.

2K’s All-Pro Football 2K, an old timers game bring some of pro football’s greatest players out of retirement, like Joe Montana, Jerry rice, William “The Refrigerator” Perry, Walter “Sweetness” Payton, and lots more. The best part of this game is you can create your team and you can pick the guys that you want to play in your team which means you do not have to stick to predefined team members. Sounds cool to me.

Yup, the title said it all. Halo 3 is topping the Amazon Japan’s “Best Seller” charts. Hmmm… Now this is amazing. The game hasn’t even come out yet (Will be out in September) and it is topping the sales charts already? If you ask me I didn’t even know 360 was this popular in Japan. Also, look at another fact that Halo 3 seems to be beating Dragon Quest as well. I am sure Halo will break a lot of other records so let’s sit back and wait for September.
I was surfing YouTube this morning and found some super crazy videos and here is something I simply call ‘awesome‘. The very first thing I could think about was “Can I do any better?”, and the answer was “No“. Why? Because I don’t even know how to play drums lol. Anyways, check this video and leave some sweet comments for the drummer and I will forward them to him.
