US Virtual Console reaches 100 games mark

With the today’s addition of Zelda II : The Adventure of Link, US Virtual Console service has reached the 100 games mark. The platform holder says it has charted 4.7 million downloads since the US service went live on 19th November.

“With an Internet connection rate reaching 40 percent, Wii owners have more options than ever to find the kinds of games they love to play,” Nintendo of America’s George Harrison said, marking the occasion.

“Beyond the Wii Shop Channel, all types of people are getting connected and checking out the information and entertainment options available on the Wii Menu. Whether voting, creating a Mii or just checking the weather, everyone has a favourite channel.”

Super Mario Bros. has been the most popular game so far, followed by Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda. You can watch the game titles list including the todays addition of Zelda II.
