Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway first look

If you have played the previous games in Brothers in Arms series, you’ll be happy to hear that Sgt. Matt Baker, the hero of Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is back as the hero. There are a number of moments that allude to characters and moments from the earlier games. You’ll also bump into good old Sgt. Joe “Red” Hartsock at some point, as he’s commanding a squad of his own. While a familiarity with the previous games certainly isn’t a necessity when it comes to enjoying Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, it will probably help improve the experience a little bit.

The game story takes place over the course of Operation Market Garden, the largest Airborne which was an Allied offensive that largely took place in the Netherland, where American and British forces attempted to take a series of bridgesbia.jpg along Highway 69, or “Hell’s Highway.” The early parts of the operation were a success, but it was ultimately considered a failure by some since the Allied forces were not able to take the village of Arnhem, which lay on the banks of the Rhine, the only thing stopping the Allies from driving right into Germany.

The town has been recreated using photos and blueprints from 1944. with some same features like the command system same as before there are some big changes in the game like the ability to take cover which not only feature destructible cover, it actually degrades differently depending on the substance.
You can lean up against walls and other types of cover, leaning out or over to fire at foes or give orders. You can use different tactics depending on the situation with the help of a button-based, third-person cover system.

You’ll now be able to call on specialize squad members to work their abilities when needed. You’ll also have mortar and heavy machine and even be able to grab an enemy MG-42, dig into a position, and mount it when you want to mow down some Nazis.

Of course, you’re not going to make it through the game without catching at least a few stray bullets (especially if the enemies are as smart as we expect they’ll be), and you’ll probably notice that the game features a new risk/injury mechanic. If you spend too much time out in the open, you’ll notice that your screen will begin to turn red around the edges, then slowly start to fill in, indicating that you’re in serious danger of dying. It’s a good way of telling you that enemies are nearby, and it definitely pays to be attentive. Since there are no health packs or “magic canteens” lying around, you’d better make your way to cover right quick, or you’ll be dead after taking just a few bullets.

In addition to the standard gameplay mechanics Hell’s Highway features a Burnout-style slow-mo effect during dramatic moments to give us a better look. Visually, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway is a stunner. We will keep you in touch with the latest news related to this game.
