At a recent press event Sony demonstrated its highly anticipated PSP game, God of War: Chains of Olympus.
The game tells an original story revolving around the unfortunate death of Kratos’ family and the start of the original God of War. You’ll catch up and take control of Kratos as he’s winding down a siege in Attica where he finds himself heading off to track down a dragon-like creature and the chase will run throughout the city.
The visuals of the game are much more detailed, stylized that skew more realistic. The addition of weapons, moves, and give the game an impressive level of depth that should be perfect for fans of the console games. With nicely done special effects to represent Kratos’ powerful attacks the game has kept the title’s scale.
The audio is being handled in such a way that it should defnately please fans of the previous game. The same holds true for the voice acting in the game which is being done by the key principals heard in the console games. The effects appear to be borrowing some elements heard in the console games which gives the action a comfortable, familiar feel.
The game looks great already and looks familiar in style and atmosphere to its previous installment. The game will be shipping later this year.
